One of the most important aspects of the canton of Moravia is that almost all of its residents have lived there for years, many of them since childhood, and now that they are becoming independent or starting a family, they want to stay in the area or close to it.

But what makes people love the canton so much and stay there for years? We set out to find the different aspects that stand out around Moravia and make its residents feel at home in the area.
Moravia is a canton that has continued to grow in the economic and productive market, while always keeping the rural essence it has preserved for years.
This makes it very appealing, because it is considered a calm and safe area to settle down as a family, while still being close to a variety of conveniences.
It is only about 25 minutes from downtown San José, with a strategic location that borders the cantons of San Isidro and Santo Domingo to the west, Tibás to the southwest, Goicoechea to the south, and Vásquez de Coronado to the east and north.
Even more important, it connects with the main areas of the GAM, providing easy access to the routes leading to the provinces of Heredia and Limón.
We could say that its strategic location is one of the main reasons why more and more people decide to live in or stay in the area.
Another factor is that the canton ranks among the top 10 in Costa Rica's Cantonal Human Development Index, holding eighth place out of a total of 81 cantons.
This is because it has good availability of telecommunications, health and commercial services, without overlooking public utilities such as electricity, drinking water and sewer systems.
Therefore, human development is another reason the canton is a great place to live.

Add to that a greater availability of nearby attractions, including shopping centers, restaurants, clothing stores, outdoor parks and leisure venues.
Lincoln Plaza is the most important shopping center in the canton, where you will find a variety of clothing, electronics, sporting goods, department and health stores.
There is also a wide variety of fast food and gourmet restaurants, as well as entertainment spaces such as the movie theaters and play areas the shopping center offers.
Commercial variety is a very attractive feature for younger generations, who find everything in one place.

Last but not least, when it comes to educational diversity, Moravia is a leader thanks to important institutions such as the Liceo Laboratorio Emma Gamboa, Saint Francis College, the Centro Educativo Las Américas and the Catholic University of Costa Rica.
Since it still keeps the rural essence that characterizes it, the canton has outdoor leisure areas such as the Itarär ecological park, which offers a natural setting with day tours, a great plan for enjoying Sunday afternoons.
On top of all this, you can add a price per square meter that better fits your budget, since Moravia is far from downtown but still within the city's periphery.
You will have all the comforts and conveniences of the city, but at a lower price than in other areas, leaving you more liquidity to invest in other projects you have in mind.
